Children's Day (2012)

  • Asian Civilisations Museum Singapore (map)

This year, Club Rainbow (Singapore) celebrated Children’s Day at the Asian Civilisations Museum on 5th October 2012. More than a 100 children turned up for the event.

As part of the day’s programme, the children participated in the Asian Civilisations Museum’s “Count to Ten (An Adventure Trail with Marco)”, where our corporate volunteers led groups of children to discover and explore the artifacts exhibited in the museum. Through this activity, our Rainbow children had the opportunity to learn and had hands-on experience in experiencing the various Asian cultures.

To make the event a fun-filled one, carnival activities such as sand art, sticker tattoo and face painting were part of the event. There were also performances by professional magicians and roaming jugglers which tickled many of our children and their families! The children were also treated to ice cream, tasty popcorn and candy floss.

In conjunction with Children’s Day, Club Rainbow (Singapore) took this opportunity to exhibit the artworks by our various talented children. We launched our annual ARTitude exhibition on the same day at the Asian Civilisations Museum. The artworks showcased included framed clay tiles reflecting Singapore’s heritage and various cultures, rangoli art, winds of change series and self portraits (anime).
