CAMP RAINBOW 2016 PROVIDED THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CAMPERS TO DISCOVER, NURTURE AND SHOWCASE THEIR TALENTS!
220 campers and volunteers gathered at NUS Sheares Hall for the annual signature event, Camp Rainbow 2016 from 3rd to 5th June 2016. Themed "Rainbow Got Talent!", activities in the 3-day, 2-night camp were specially designed to encourage campers to showcase and nurture their talents, or discover new ones that they never knew.
Camp Rainbow commenced on Day 1 with a visit to KidZania Singapore while others were brought to Yishun SAFRA. The former group indulged in fun activities through realistic role-plays and learnt about different jobs, inner workings of a city and concept of managing money, while the latter underwent skill trainings at the air rifle shooting range and bowling alley. The campers also thoroughly enjoyed traditional programmes such as the Carnival Festival on Day 2 night and Water Games, aptly named Rainbow Songkran on Day 3 morning. The event wrapped up on an emotional high, with all campers and volunteers putting up awesome performances ranging from energetic dances to breathtaking singing.
