WHO MANAGES CLUB RAINBOW?

Club Rainbow is headed by a Management Council of volunteers who are professionals in diverse fields including medicine, law, financial management and education; together with our Executive Director.

WHO CAN JOIN CLUB RAINBOW?

Singapore citizens and permanent residents from 0 to 20 years old with chronic illness.

HOW MUCH FUNDS DOES CLUB RAINBOW NEED ANNUALLY?

We need to raise over S$5 million annually. As an independent charity, Club Rainbow relies largely on corporate and public donations as well as government grants and funding to support our mission and sustain our work and daily operations.

HOW MANY BENEFICIARIES DOES CLUB RAINBOW HAVE?

We are currently helping more than 1,200 children and their families.

WHAT SERVICES DOES CLUB RAINBOW PROVIDE?

We provide holistic support based on 5 core pillars: Social Work Intervention, Therapy Intervention, Educational Support, Arts Development and Vocational development to our children and their families.

ARE THERE ANY CHARGES?

While most of our core services are free, some require a co-payment. Subsidies will be disbursed to lower-income families based on means-testing results.

DOES CLUB RAINBOW WORK WITH ANY HOSPITALS?

We work closely with the National University Hospital, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the neonatal ward of the Singapore General Hospital. All the children are referred to us by doctors.

IS THERE TAX EXEMPTION FOR MY DONATION?

Club Rainbow has Institution of Public Character (IPC) status. All monetary donations qualify for tax exemption benefits.

CAN WE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO VISIT THE CHILDREN AND YOUTH AT CLUB RAINBOW?

Club Rainbow is not a home for children and youth. Our beneficiaries live together with their parents or caregivers. You may wish to sign up as a volunteer, and get the opportunity to befriend and help our Rainbow children and youth during Club Rainbow programmes and events.

ARE MY TRANSACTIONS ON CLUB RAINBOW (SINGAPORE) WEBSITE SAFE AND SECURE?

Yes. Club Rainbow (Singapore) works with our payment gateway provider, which is of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 Compliance, the highest and most stringent of the PCI DSS levels. All transactions are 3-D Secure supported and enforced with a Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using a One-Time Password (OTP) or PIN which will be sent to your registered mobile phone number. Your transaction and sensitive information, such as personal and credit card details, are protected and transmitted across with an encrypted connection using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

ARE THERE ANY FEES CHARGED?

No, donors do not pay any fees. Cost incurred by Club Rainbow (Singapore) as follows: • Internet banking (DBS or SCB) – no cost • Giving.sg – 3% transaction (waived from 1 Jan 2020 to 31 Mar 2021) • Give.asia – 1.5% per transaction • Credit card payment – charges 2.5% + $0.15

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR TAX DEDUCTION FOR MY DONATIONS TO CLUB RAINBOW (SINGAPORE)?

Club Rainbow (Singapore) is an Institution of A Public Character (IPC) approved by the Commissioner of Charities to receive tax deductible donations. This means that donors will be eligible for 250% tax deduction for qualifying donations made to Club Rainbow (Singapore), in accordance to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) regulations which can be found here.

HOW DO I CLAIM TAX DEDUCTIONS ON MY DONATIONS TO CLUB RAINBOW (SINGAPORE)?

When making your donation to Club Rainbow (Singapore), remember to select the option for ‘Tax Exemption’ and provide the necessary details, especially your identification number (NRIC/FIN/UEN) in order to qualify for tax deduction. We will provide the donation details directly to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) to be automatically included in your personal/corporate Tax Assessment. An acknowledgement receipt will be issued to you if a valid mailing address or email address is provided.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE THE TAX DEDUCTIONS ON MY DONATIONS TO CLUB RAINBOW (SINGAPORE)?

All eligible donations must be received by Club Rainbow (Singapore) latest 31 December of the year in order to qualify for tax deductions in the following Year of Assessment. For example, if you make a donation in 2020 and the donation is received by Club Rainbow (Singapore) by latest 31 December 2020, tax deduction will be allowed in your tax assessment for the Year of Assessment 2021. For donations made on our website via credit cards, it may take about 3 to 5 working days for processing by the issuing bank before the donation can be received by Club Rainbow (Singapore).

HOW DO I SET UP A RECURRING DONATION TO CLUB RAINBOW (SINGAPORE)?

You can download the donation form here and return the completed form by mail. Once we have received your form, we will notify you via email and advise on the date for the first deduction.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY DEFAULT CARD FOR MY EXISTING RECURRING DONATION?

You can download the credit card authorisation form here and email the completed copy to us at accounts@clubrainbow.org. Alternatively, you can update your new card details via our website at https://www.clubrainbow.org/update-donation.

MY DEFAULT CARD USED FOR RECURRING DONATION TO CLUB RAINBOW (SINGAPORE) IS EXPIRING SOON; WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

You will receive an auto-generated email from Club Rainbow (Singapore) to notify you to update your new card details when your card is expiring. Alternatively, you can email us at accounts@clubrainbow.org with your new card details, or update via our website at https://www.clubrainbow.org/update-donation.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY ONE-TIME DONATION IS SUCCESSFUL? WHAT DO I DO IF IT IS NOT SUCCESSFUL?

After you have made your donation, you will receive an email notification of its status from our payment gateway provider. A donation can be unsuccessful due to a number of reasons. In case of an unsuccessful attempt, please try again and contact your Issuing Bank if you encounter further issues. Please check if the below applies and do try again.
